I've been recording for a while now, but I seem to have a lot of trouble when it gets to be EQing time. I like the sound each of my instruments are getting on their own, but when I put them together, it sucks. Just so you know, I'm using Cubase LE to do everything. Also, tips on mixing and EQ vocals in particular would help as well. Thanks.

even though it's specifically for "computer music", whatever that is, I find this site (http://www.computermusic.co.uk/tutorial/eq/2.asp) to be helpful in regards to EQing stuff.

This is why mixing isn't easy. You think everything sounds great on its own, but they don't sound as well all together. It takes some clever work with panning, levels, and eq. This article ([url=http://tweakheadz.com/EQ_and_the_Limits_of_Audio.html]this one too (http://tweakheadz.com/perfect_mix.html))worked as a good start for me.
It's important to put the idea that the tracks sound great separately out of your mind, and think more about the mix. It really helps out in the end.
