So, what's the weirdest song you've ever written? The weirdest song I've ever written was "Anal Retentive **** Star," about a **** star that hates the **** industry.

i have a song called jimmy nothing, its about a sad kid.... heres a sample lyric...
jimmys mother told him
that no girl would ever hold him
cause his father is a joker
hes nothing but a toker
and he once killed a moth with a wrench....
i dunno people always laugh at it....
i also have a song called "for my eyes only", its about the dude who became a chick then became a bond girl in the movie "for your eyes only"

I have a song called "going to funerals to pass the time". It's about being really ****ing bored, and feeling like somethings missing.
Oh and a song called "the 9 minute beast" because it's 9 minutes long obviously.
And "What do you do (when everyone you know is dead)?" about... I'm not really sure... none of the lyrics of any of my songs make much sense after the first couple of days.
most of my songs are weird, but more from the point of view that we sound like sonic youth meets at the drive in with bjork singing..... on speed..... hanging upside down......
they normally have one verse, one pre chorus, one chorus, then descend into chaos.
I'm not big on verse-chorus-verse-chorus

I've written a song about a spider dying in barbeque sauce.

i once wrote a song with just this phrase repeating: WHY DONT YOU ****ING DIE!!
it was a hardcore song about a girl i hate :D
i haven't written many but i suppose the weirdest was one about stalking some boy.
I'm only instrumental so I don't write lyrics, if I did I would be locked up.

i probly shouldn't be giving such a fabulous songwriting method but here goes (then again, maybe everyone else already does this!):
jot down all the words from a game of scrabble as you play, then later on try to organize them into something.
sample lyric:
"sums of tens, fallen hen
target hinge, fats do thrive..."

hahaha thats a good one
i'm writing one at the moment with lyrics from a website that compiles misheard lyrics (i've forgotten what it's called).
Here's a few :
- "Whatever you do don't tell on your mum" (qotsa - lost art)
- "Feeling sweet feeling, drugs from my finger's fingers" (jimi - manic depression)
- "I'm never gonna fight the dust" (queen - another one ...)
- "Jane says... have you seen my weed around??
I cant make out without it!" (jane's addiction - jane says)
- "It's just a face, you'll grow out of it" (faith no more - caffeine)
- "Rednecks go to Hell" (G n R - right next door to hell)
- "I used to love her, but I had tequila" (G n R - used to love her)
- "And there's a wino down the road
and everything still turns to dope" - (stairway to heaven)
- "Mass destruction on the left-hand side" (musical youth - pass the dutchie)
I think it's gonna be a song about drugs ...

sometimes i just pull our my oxford dictionary and randomly select words.....choose some and make a verse
then do the same for the rest of the song...
but first you have to choose some random notes for the rythem and make a rythem out of those....its a challenge but its funny if it turns out good..

80% of my songs are based on '70's sci-fi mixed with slocore.
So most are kinda weird.

i'm pretty happy with it. Crowds really don't know what to think. It's not often that you see someone bring a vocoder to a show with them.

Boris the Spider is pretty odd from the Who. But entwistle (r.i.p) was an amazing songwriter overshadowed by even a better song writer Pete Townshend

There isn't a weirdest song for me. All of mine are pretty messed up in one way or another. One i happen to like is entitled :
"what a fun urethra."
"Look child now don't be scared.
Jenns the quiet one.
Jenns the quiet one.
Brendans flies undone.
What a fun urethra!
What a fun urethra!
Like a slice of string,
it sticks to the walls.
He's no ladies man,
living north of Nepal.
It's a fun urethra!
Seringe and all."

one of my first songs was called "honeymoon." i wrote it like 2 years ago and strangely enough i still like the riff (kinda a weak attempt at an ac/dc riff). anyway, its pretty much about having sex on a couch that's in a vacant lot and the relationship that builds, ends, and starts up and continues again from that experience. not autobiographical.
