http://community.webshots.com lets anyone post pics there as long as its not smut(though i found some) ive seen some HC users post their rigs there.

perhaps there should be a rule that only gear related pictures are allowed on the message boards... if that.

Official word from the GuitarGeek satellite office is that we're going to keep the boards free from images in order to conserve bandwith. Some of the rigs are pretty huge graphics, and the site's been extremely busy lately.

Also, while we can put filters in place to minimize offensive language, we would have to actively view each and every thread to police posted images. We would rather spend our time gathering information for new rigs, writing gear reviews and enhancing the site's features than baby-sitting the chat boards.

That being said, we'll never completely rule it out. We've been pleased with how on-topic most posts have been, and feel that most of the participants would post clean images if given the opportunity.

Yeah im aware of the storage limit but why cant the forum show a pic when we are linking the pic from a site? that cant take any space?

So you read part of my post at least...The other half mentioned the fact that we'd have to police the boards to make sure you're not all including lewd images in your posts. I'm sure in most cases, simply posting a link to an image on a remote host would serve your purposes fine.
