I have a lot of four pedals (http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/8438/00001ts2.jpg) that I'd like to put up for trade. They are:

1. An Ibanez Cyberdrive (http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/9192/00008rl8.jpg) soundtank distortion. This is a nasty, harsh, and largely unpleasant distortion pedal with a tone knob that acts like a fairly resonant filter. I have used this with some analog synths and produced some filter sweep type sounds with the tone knob alone. Basically, this thing sounds horrible in an industrial/fax machine kind of way. NIN fans might like it. That, or people who like noise...

2. A DOD Corrosion (http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/4028/00013gv3.jpg) pedal with box and warranty card. A real noisy, harsh, "modern" sounding distortion. I believe DOD sold this later on as a "Big Pig" distortion. It's loud as heck, and fairly harsh. Again, this one would be a good addition to your industrial rig.

3. A DOD Gonkulator (http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/1751/00004un0.jpg) ring modulator. Yes, the legendary Gonkulator, the worst ring modulator ever made. Audible carrier frequency whenever it's on, and it does that by design. Perfect for the incubus fan in your life. Comes with box, and "manual".

4. A DOD Buzz Box (http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/331/00002ie9.jpg) octave fuzz mangler. Again, this thing's reputation precedes it. I'm sure you've heard of what this thing is capable of. Like a higher gain, more random, less Atari 2600 version of a Blue Box with extra noise thrown in for good measure.

I'd like to trade them as a lot (http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/7564/00014vb4.jpg) rather than individually, but I'll break up the group for the right stuff. I'd rather not ship outside the U.S. of A. (as it can be a bit of a pain), but again I'll make exceptions for the right stuff.

Now, what do I want? Well, I am looking for an EH Polychorus, a Fender Fuzz Wah, a working Alamo Reverb tank, a Prunes & Custard, a Danelectro DM-25, a Shin-Ei Fuzz Wah, a Vox Repeat Percussion, A Jacques Prisoner, a Silvertone 1482 (or 1472, 10XL or 40XL), Smallish Teisco, Alamo, Supro, or Univox tube amps, Weird old Japanese guitars (especially hollowbodies with single coils), and so forth. I'm also into hearing what you've got to trade. As you can see, I'm into oddball stuff (my rig thread should provide ample proof of this), so bear that in mind when you're letting me know what you've got to trade. If you've got any of the stuff listed above, or any weird old noisy stuff that I didn't list, feel free to PM me and we'll see if we can work out a trade of some kind. Thanks for reading...

Ok, so I figured why not throw another pedal up for trade. Here we have a minty fresh example of a DOD FX15 Swell Pedal (http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/4094/00006jq8.jpg), complete with box and instructions. This thing is a VCA volume pedal that can either swell from total silence to regular volume (like a fake reverse kind of effect) or it can swell up to 37dB of clean boost. A Slow Gear it ain't, but it is a neat little pedal all the same. Again, I'd like to trade all of these pedals in one big lot, but I'll break up the set for the right gear.

Willing to sell any?

I'm really looking to trade here, as I'd rather get new weird stuff than money. Of course, we all have our price. If you want to send me a PM with a cash offer for something, feel free. I'd much rather do trade, but I would be tempted to sell for the right price...

OK, I figured that I'd try to do some quick video demos of these pedals, just for kicks. These clips weren't meant to show off my talent, as I don't have any. I just figured I'd make clips for people who are unfamiliar with these pedals.

I used my Melody Maker reissue and my Alamo Montclair reverb to make these clips (which were filmed with a cheap coolpix camera). The amp is set to apartment volume (just south of 2), so my unaffected tone is a tad thinner than I'm used to. There's a bit of amp reverb , and the amp's treble boost, used in thse clips. Anyway, here's the Gonkulator clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wu-cs2pVc0), and here's the Buzz Box clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFZzC7zUWFc). Yes, the Buzz Box really does glitch that much. The Gonkulator clip doesn't really capture the constant high pitch whine of the carrier frequency, as I'm at a fairly low volume.

I'm going to have to work a little harder to make clips for the Corrosion pedal and the Cyberdrive because at the low volume I'm playing at, the true nutty nature of these pedals doesn't come across. I don't want to get an eviction notice for making pedal demos, so a high volume test will have to wait. Perhaps I'll try the Swell Pedal next...

I like the sales pitches. "This pedal sounds like **** -- if you want to sound like ****, here you go."

I believe in truth in advertising, however I am in no way saing, "If you want to sound like s**t, here you go." I firmly believe that it is possible to use a harsh, non musical pedal in a musical way. As such, I figured I'd state up front that these are kinda harsh pedals. If you want a nice, smooth overdrive, these aren't for you. If you're in an industrial band, these might be just what you wanted...
