so it's been a long time since i've had one of these, so i thought it was time for an update. pics to follow.

still using the same guitars:
fender avri 57 strat (2 color sunburst)

modded to hell squier strat (sonic blue)

not exactly a dream rig, but it works.

Apart from the Frontman and the CH-1 (I prefer a Small Clone myself), it's a pretty neat rig. Gotta love them small tube Fender combos. Right on, dude!

How raygun-like can the Phase 90 get? I want to buy a phaser, but I hate phasing. I like raygun sounds...

You hate phasing? I think flanging is so more hateable... Phasers are sexy, especially on low rates (think “Breathe in the Air�).

For ray gun sounds, get a goddamn ray gun!

BTW, get a Jazzmaster

+ a zillion. And that's for anyone that doesn't own a Jazzmaster (myself included).

Hhaha, well I see what you mean, but my friend uses one of the newer green Boss phasers, and it does an amazing raygun sound. I'm a freak and don't want to have more than one Boss on my board. I'm wondering what else can sound like that.

1)Didn't you have a Sonic Blue Strat? Sonic Blue with a tortoise pickguard is probably the best thing I've ever seen.

2)What's that Vintage FX Overdrive like?

yeah i have a sonic blue strat. it's a little out of commision at the moment. i need a new bridge . it's got 2 gfs humbuckers in it. i let it sit out for a little too long before i nitro'd it, so the finish is a bit green...

the vintage fx overdrive is great, a nice zepp-y overdrive with lots of bit. i'm actually looking to sell it. it's nice, but not my type of pedal. i can get the same sound with my amp cranked a little bit.

as for bjm-addict- he told me he had a prototype fuzz pedal that he was going to send me, but i don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon.

also- gustavo: the frontman is for when i can't bring my regular amp home, and the ch-1 was left in the back of my amp when a few guys borrowed it! can't say i like either one...

and yes, the phase 90 can do a few ray gun sounds. i did the r28 mod so it's a bit more watery than stock if that influences my answer any.
