Damn I wish I could play that orange! Oh, so it's the new Tele. My advice is to either find the perfect tubescreamer and see if that's your ticket or to check out the Seymour Duncan Little 59 mini humbuckers. For your dot, you might wanna check out the Seymour Duncan phat cats. Ive got one that I could let go for a Decent price. As well as a few more good pickups. Another thing Ive thought about doing is adding a midrange control instead of the tone that it has now. Fenders are notoriously scooped, so the boost and control of mids could help even it out some. Then it does have some pretty weak pickups, so I could add a cleanboost to it too. but for now i like mine as it is.

Ive never liked muffs for anything but HUGE WALLS OF FUZZFJDOFJO!!!11! and th BD-2's bass bump made the top end and midrange sound too thin for me. Thats why I ended up with what I have. You have to try them all before you can get what you really want.

Yeah it is pretty amazing, I was surprised even after reading reviews saying it's good and some saying "the best in the world", after I tried it I fell in love,I've heard class A valve amps before but the only way to play them is on max volume and max gain, so you can't get a good loud clean tone IMHO, I can't believe that they don't produce it any more, I was going to get the 30 watt version but 30 watts is too quite for me when gigging. I would suggest looking at any though, but definitely the ad30 for a great clean to run a bazilion effects through, then if it isn't loud enough they'll be somebody selling the 140 one.

I've heard those phat cats in all sorts of guitars, and they sound pretty awesome. I never really fancied adding a HB to the tele, since I had a the HB's of the dot, but I could live with it if 1. it sounded better, and 2. I had the p90's in the dot. I heard some sound samples of that 59 mini HB, and I like the rounder tone of it, plus its a high output so I'm sure I could coax some high end squeals from it with the orange, for some solo-ing.

And by nice price, what do you mean? I'm a bit strapped for cash at the minute, I get paid december 4th I think, so it wont be until the week before when I start looking into prices a lot more.

And yeah, I tried tons of different distortion pedals. The big muff and blues driver were the ones I always ended up choosing over the rest.

Yeah dude. Oranges are where its at If only I had the cash! But for now my modded Blues Junior does everything I need and more.

I meant tht you could acutally drop it in the Dot for a better clean sound. Theyve got plenty of bite and clarity while retaining the singing midrange. I loved it when I was using it. Just dont have the right guitar for it anymore. My Fenders are all stock right now. Tele may change, but it'd be for those loveeelllyyy '59s

I meant if you had a spare pedal we may be able to work out a deal or some spare cash I'd go cheap for it. A Hum shaped P90 isnt doing me any good. And I dont plan on buying any new guitars. Tele + Strat are all I need so the logic says that I'd be better off getting the Phat Cat to a good home Only been used once and has plenty of wire left. Bought in Nashville about a week before my freshman year. stored safely ever since then. I'd love to help you out in any way possible.

Yeah, everyone has that certain one that seems to always be there. A good tubescreamer has always been my friend though these years have started to pass by. And now Ive got what I think is a pretty damn good 'un. The Jeckyll is doing well for me. And the TOD is another monster but I lvoe them both. =]

the blues Jr.'s are nice.

What position is it for? Would you be ok shipping to UK?

Oh I got my orange for close to £700, including the 4x12 cab, which is about $1300 I think. And thats the lowest price I've seen used ones go for for just the head.

Hell yeah man. Love me some Fender!! I love it even better now that it's been Blackfaced Just gotta fix the damn speaker rattle... :/

Id be fine shipping if you could cover the price. I'll go for a reasonable price too. [I used it in bridge position, so that's what I think it meant to be.. but I was trying crazy sh!t back then... ]

If the oranges wwerent so damn expensive Id have one by now.. Or if I was never a younger guitarist and my dad hadn't thought that ANY marshall was amazing.

I'm thinking about adding a Dimarzio Chopper T to my bridge position. it's the one I really dont like and the Chopper has more of the warmth I love. I think Ill throw in the 4-way Tele switch while Im at it and have a volume for each pickup for better blending. Then a SPST to control coil tap or full 'bucker. All Ill have to do is drill one little hole for the SPST and replace the wiring. It's been years since I jumped into a guitar Itll be refreshing!

Also thinking of helping a friend make his PBass be fretless.. and installing some new p'ups and possibly some crazy fuzz inside...

Still waiting for the Verbzilla; due Wednesday!! Gonna add some circuit bends and do some Extreme makeover to my Grunge and Arion Stereo Phaser for some great new fuzz tones. Just to have around. Pics soon. And audio. No more 13 minute video demos for me...

Damn I want a Small Clone again... Hopefully Ill come into one soon. I miss my watery chorus. I think Ill ditch the Circuit bent arion phaser as a fuz for now and go with the crazily bent/modded Grunge I think Ill take the FX Loop out of the Blues Junior and put a presence control in place of the bypass switch and external jack for a boost switch. DDL-3 will be fixed soon.. and Im thinking Ill mod the Danecho for oscillatable repeats.. I need it to last longer. Vox V847 will be gutted and used as my volume pedal. I think it's finally starting to really shape up now.

Well I don't know the price of them knew, but I was hoping for maybe like $75 including p&p...

And jesus, you'll end up with some right frankenstien's if you ever get all those done.

My most extravagant project was the complete re-wire of my thunderbird bass, the input jack solderings broke, so I ended up completing re doing all the wire with some clothed wire my dad had spare, and some 70% lead solder from like the 1950's, it sounds so much cleaner now, it used to be a bit muddy on the low end, but now in cleans up much more and has a hint of gain, when the volume pots are both on 10.

I want to eventually get round to the same fuzz pedal in a guitar sort of thing, also I want to try and add the EHX 22 caliber to the insides of a guitar, cuase then you just have to carry around a decent cab and guitar, buts it's finding a cheap guitar body that has enough space to house all that PCB, I no longer have access to would work tools. As a pre curser to that think i have a bust MS-2 I'm willing to chop up just to see if adding that small amp in a guitar can be done, but I have no idea what kind of output impendance it has.

But at the end of the day, it's alway a money issue, I'm afriad that some weeks I need to feed rather than buy new gear.

Yeah that price sounds fair to me. Whenever you need it I can get it to ya.

I plan on getting them done asap. I would have them done but I ran out of solder.

Well, youll know how to wire it then, so that's good. Putting the amp in a guitar is possible. The hardest part will be getting the voltage to the amp and the signal to the speaker. It's possible tho.

I hear ya man, it can get expensive quick. Hopefully the Phat Cat is priced right for ya.

cool, it shouldn't be too long anyway.

I already have the idea from when I first tried to add a DS-1 to the insides.
I'll probably just end up soldering, I'll probably just end up soldering the guitar output wires the the mini amp's input, then the amps output would end up being the guitar's output. The only issue is as you said a power source. I'll have to add a battery compartment some were, and create some sturdy mounting to hold it still. I think my only option that I can think of now would be a body with the tremolo system routing the back. A'la stratocaster. Just so I haven't got to cut/drill more stuff off the pickguard and do much in the way of routing.

Yah price is great as it looks like I'll be buying the neck position brand new.

Yeah that idea should work. You could always use a TRS cable and make a little brakout box for it?

Ive also got a Gibson Neck humbucker. red+black, but you can put a nickel cover on it to make them match. I think its a 498T.. not sure right now. Just a thought. Just drop me a pm with your address and whatnot.

Thanks kentist! I just hope to be getting everything together and finished soon. Im tired of working and Im ready to play.

Sounds sweet.

I'm still gas-ing for a screamer+rat duo lately. I thought it'd be kinda fun having a monkey and a rat sitting next to a pi.

Once I'm off lockdown, hopefully we can talk rodents
