Simple but nice rig.

Fender 70's reissue Stratocaster
Epiphone Black Beauty Les Paul

Marshall JCM 800 2203 head (vintage)
Marshall 1960A Cab

Crybaby Wah
Phase 90
Jimi Hendrix System Classic Fuzz
Boss OD-2r
DOD FX90 Analog Delay

I have other guitars and amps but this is what I usually bring out to shows. I play in a psychedelic funk rock soul band. Think "Sly and the Family Stone meets Led Zeppelin meets Pink Floyd".

Your musical style sounds quite cool. Do you have any sound clips? Nice rig too.

Then swab the inside of the pedal send it to the lab for testing in a week or two they'll be able to tell you.

If you find a tab of acid in there take it.
The further back you trip the older it is. If its a bad trip then you know its from the 80's.

Awesome rock rig

I like the way you've got a solution for each sound

single coils,
humbuckers,
od,
fuzz,
modulation,
delay,
wah.

All the cool bases covered. I'm guessing you want some more bass out of the sd-1 though(?).

P.s. I've got serious GAS for a Marshall 800. I'd be all over one if they weren't so f'ing loud

thanks for the compliments guys.

stratguy23 - hey man, i'm totally new to guitargeek so if you could tell me how to upload mp3s, I'll be happy to show some clips!

Scruff - thanks man. I really dig simple rigs.

BoTheMu - thanks man. I mostly use the SD-1 with my Black Beauty for leads. The Black Beauty is a very dark and bassy sounding guitar so it kind of balances the SD-1 pretty nice. Otherwise, I use the fuzz with my strat for leads. The preamp gain on the JCM is all I need for rhythm/some lead tones.

And I agree about the 800 being too loud. Espeically if you are the type of player that uses overdrive most of the time. I actually love the 800 for its "in between" tones. You know, the not clean but not overly dirty tones. The head room is huge and lets me bang out funky spanky riffs. Otherwise, for fulltime overdrive, I'd consider a 50 watt version. But then again, those are too loud too.

I kinda suck with computers, so I don't know how to post mp3's, but I know some on this board do (Iaresee does, and there are probably others).

Very Cool. I'd love to have an old marshall head like that.

How do you like the od-2r? How do you use it? Some of those Boss overdrives are like secret weapons.

I do pedal mods. I build amps. You should get one built for you.
If it's too loud, you're too old.

And here's all my gear.

And my band

I love it. The nonturbo mode is pretty much an Od-1, and the turbo mode is a thick, boosted, fuzz-ish mode (think saturated Santana leads).

I usually keep it on non-turbo mode with gain at around 10 o clock and volume at 3 o clock for a good solo boost. If I need instant feedback and a heavier boost, I just switch to turbo mode with the gain cranked. Volume for days. Loudest od pedal I ever used.

Just joint www.soundclick.com with the free account. You can upload MP3s to the soundclick site and then use the song link tool to post links to your songs on any other page.
