I prefer the older ones with the bigger scale length, but that's just me. A studio i was in a few months ago had a really nice Vista one and it was a lovely player.

A lot of people really like them.

Holy crap, the changed the scale length!

It seems like the Jagmaster is made for heavier rock and hard playing, and to me a 25.5" scale works much better for that kind of playing. I have a jag, and I love it, but it's never fely right for agressive picking and abuse to me.

Cheers.

hreaghaerv

I have one, it plays wonderful. Came with perfect action and intonation, but that was probably the shop. Neck feels real nice, tuners are enough to get by on, only complaint is the tremelo, it SUCKS. Simply put, buy a new tremelo.

Don't buy it, they are like made in China or something.

The Vista series is where it's at. They cost a bit, but i heard they were wonderful guitars. I believe they were made in Japan.

Actually, low action and wrong truss rod settins are what cause buzz. Generally, raising the action (with an appropriately adjusted truss rod) is a way to get rid of buzz.

Cheers!

Sounds like you just need to take the time to set it up better. Necks have trussrods and bridges are adjustable for that reason. I wouldn't blame it on the country of manufacture.

Justin.

edit:
Ben, it looks like we're on the same wavelength here :O) (simultaneous post)

that's a very prejudice and assholey comment...if it were somebody else, i'd give them a verbal thrashing unmatched in history.

i have one and, yes, the trem sucks ass. but i don't use it so there's no big f*cking deal...i just bend the neck and since the guitar withstands my primitive neanderthal like abuse and still plays quite nicely, it's pure roughneck.

and +1 to justin.

try telling them something they know, and you'll be at a true loss for words.
