went to death cab tonight (and made close-up pics of their pedalboards)

So, I went to death cab tonight and was able to take some really crappy pictures of the concert, luckely I made some nice ones of their pedalboards and amps:

http://community.webshots.com/user/frankhurkmans

The first picture is of BG's right amp, he also has one on the left that's not visible in the picture, then there's BG's board. I was kind of surpised he has the re-issue mxr dist +. Then CW's board, wich has fewer pedals then BG, wich also kind of surprised me. But he dropped the FD2 for the centaur, and the dm-3 for a maxon anolog delay, and a hbe compressor retro. And he also has some nice dr z amps.

BG played 2 G&L thinline tele's (a black one and a natural one) and as you can read on one of the pictures a stella acoustic.
CW played a lot on his gibson es-335 and some gretch I don't know (but I've got a picture of that too, so I'm sure somebody will tell us) and pulled out that ugly blue rickenbacker 12-string.

I'm also pretty sure I saw the bassplayer with an ampeg scrambler and a mxr pedal with 2 buttons.

This post is getting too long and I want to sleep, so goodnight

I think the Gretsch is a 6129, not 100%.

Sweet, a stella acoustic. That looks exactly like mine. (kinda hard to tell the wood though)

It's a 6131--the Malcolm Young signature model.

so far gone are the days of death cab using cheap equipment to get really amazing low-fi sounds.

according to guitargeek, ben was using a $99 squier bullet, a DS-1, and some silvertone amp.

BG:

mxr dist +
boss tr-2 tremolo
boss dd-3
boss dd-3
boss tu-2
/morley ab switcher

CW:

boss tu-2
homebrew electronics compressor retro
klon centaur overdrive
maxon ad-80 analog delay

that gretch is indeed a 6131--the Malcolm Young signature model.
Still not really into the rickenbacker.
I actually thought they made some real cool lo-fi noises with their expensive equipment. Besides a dist + re-issue, a boss tremolo and delay aren't that expensive. (altough his guitar and amp are)
Overall it was a way better time to spend my sunday night than to watch the Netherlands get kicked out of the world cup.

Is that a boss delay between CW's amps?

How do they get that sound in the beginning of "Some Day You Will Be Loved"?

the squier bullet wasn't a band guitar, its an older one, that supposably played nicely.
