Danelectro Dan-Echo - A snappy retro-looking digital delay that pulls off a cool and convincing analog-like echo for a reasonable price. The Dan-Echo straddles that thin line between the thick echo of old tape or analog units and the sharp and slicing digital sound of more modern devices. Thanks to a handy Hi-Cut control, the Dan-Echo can degenerate high frequencies with each succesive repeat giving you a very warm squishy feel. If you’re fed up with the sterility of most digital pedals or rackmounts, the Dan-Echo is great way to cure your echo issues. Given the price, upkeep, and short delay times of a tape or analog based unit you can really go wrong with the long and fluid delays of the Dan-Echo. Twiddling knobs can be a tight squeeze on all the Danlectros but once you find your sweet spot, they’ll stay put for gig after gig.
