Dunlop takes the original Crybaby and adds a nifty Q control, a15db Boost knob, and automatic switching. Sounds pretty simple but all these simple features go a long long way in providing a ton of tonal and dynamic variety as well as operational ease. If you love the sound of a regular Crybaby then the 95Q should suit your needs and then some. The simple Q dials in the how wide or narrow the frequency sweep of the wah will be. The range is well-voiced and can get very squawky or very wooly depending on your personal preference. The boost dial is a nice feature for kicking those wah solos up a notch. The switchless on/off system eliminates those first few moments usually spent finding your sonic bearings. It's responsive when turning the wah on but a little goofy when turning it off. There is a slight delay before the wah turns off due to units the springloaded on/off system. It takes some getting used to but is tolerable compared to the switching of the Original. |
