 ELECTRO-HARMONIX GUITAR MICRO SYNTHESIZER

Electro-Harmonix Guitar Micro Synthesizer

Another wisely reissued classic! This miracle box basically lets you pull off analog synth sounds on your guitar or bass. 10 seperate sliders take care of parameters like Trigger, Octave, Attack, Resonance, etc. Unless you’ve spent some time around analog synths, these terms might seem a little mysterious but after a few hours of experimentation you’ll get the hang of it. The greatest thing about the Microsynth is that it can pull off zillions of cool effects. Subtle changes create useful sounds like E-bow-like swells, Moog-esque blips, sinewy filter sweeps, and buzzy drones. Toss a distortion or phaser before or after the Microsynth and things get even crazier. These are well worth the cost considering how much sonic mileage you’ll get out of these. Our only complaints are the lack of true bypass and the absence of an overall output slider to make up for volume loss on some of the mellow settings.
