The classic Vox wah Wah that has graced the stage of many guitar legends. Players like Hendrix to Stevie Ray brought some noteriety to this pedal but it's that familiar mid-range bite and vowel-like WOW WOW that really made it famous. Along with the Fuzz Face, this IS the sound of the late sixties. For the unconverted, the 847 has a wider sweep and a sweeter high-end than the traditional CryBaby. It's a very different voicing and if you are out shopping be sure to try a few different models. Wah is all about expression and you've got to find one that fits you like a glove. Aside from the fantastic sounds, the Vox wins the Wah Wah beauty contest with it's slick chrome surface and classy embedded logo. Top it off with rock solid construction and comfortable pivot and have a piece of gear that won't leave you without an ounce of buyers remorse. |
