This baby brother to the Mutron III may be stripped down to one simple range knob and a single range switch, but it packs quite a punch if you need a no-nonsense touch wah. It's a fantastic sounding unit that does one sound and does it very well. As with the Mutron III, the Micro V is very sensitive and reacts to every nuance and inflection you feel like throwing at it. The ultra-compact size is a really handy for squeezing into small spaces on your pedalboard and the big fat knob is easy to turn with your toes. The only drawback to this little fellow is the drastic drop in volume you'll experience when it's engaged. Plan on compensating with some sort booster or eq pedal if you want to gove this some serious stage time. Aside from that small gripe, Mutron really got it right on this on. |
