TC Electronic really struck gold on this one. The magical combination of a transparent overdrive, a clean boost, and a noise gate somehow added up to a pedal that lets your pure signal shine through. This quality has made the Line Booster one of the most sought after pedals on the used market. The overdrive is right up there with a TS-808 without all the compression and the clean boost makes a wonderful addition to solos and loud passages. Stomp this thing in either mode and suddenly everything sound thicker, richer, and well, better. The Noise Gate is a thoughtful addition. It's a snap to dial in, and although it's a little slow to react sometimes it really does the job. There is also an XLR out for additional routing possibilties. If ever there was pedal in need of a reissue, it's this one.
