This pedal has been the industry standard forever. With its tough extruded aluminun chassis and bulletproof housing, I can see why this is the choice of so many pros. Operation is a simple as rocking forward for an increase in volume, and rocking back for a decrease in volume. The travel is smooth and responsive with no noise, hum, pops, or crackles. There is a taper switch inside that controls the intensity of the travel but this one felt great out of the box. The innards of the unit are well designed with a Kelvar string system controlling the travel of the pedal. The only addition that would make the Ernie Ball absolutely perfect would be the addition of a Minimum Volume knob. This simple feature would allow for greater sonic flexibilty and would top off what already is a brilliant unit.
