 BOSS FV-50H STEREO VOLUME PEDAL

Boss FV-50H Stereo Volume Pedal

The FV-50h is a high impedance volume pedal designed to be the first device in your effects chain. It's durable plastic housing is definitely not as solid as an Ernie Ball or Sho-Bud volume pedal. It's ultra-light weight led us to attaching ours to a pedalboard with velcro to give it some grounding. Once secure and free from sliding around, we found the FV-50H to have nice nimble throw that is very well balanced. The input and output jacks are solid and positioned on the front side of the pedal out of harm's way. The pedal's stereo operation opens up a lot of cool routing possibilities and a handy tuner out jack makes for silent tuning onstage. The highlight of our test run was the minimum volume feature. After setting the volume knob at 7 for rhythm work, we would just simply tap the pedal forward to a full 10 for our lead duties. This could also come in handy in when compensating for various volume traits of different guitars.
